FUSD will be offering a free, online, Driver’s Education class to interested students starting Monday, April 25.
Students can enroll in this course by going to bit.ly/Q422drive starting on Wednesday, April, 6 @ 5pm.

Quarter 3: Drivers Education Class Information:
First Day of Class is Monday, April 25 (Session: 4/25/22 thru 5/27/22)
- Four Class times: am, lunch, pm 1, pm 2
- Monday thru Friday
- Synchronous instruction w/teacher
- 30 minutes of instruction a day, all classes held virtually on Teams
- Credit/No Credit (Letter grades NOT assigned) = 2.5 credits
- Free to all students — No Materials Needed – Teacher will provide all resources
Students will be notified of enrollment status via Teams by the Drivers Ed teacher Cheryl Flemming.

FAFSA Financial Aid Walk Through will be held virtually on October 13 @ 5:30pm
The virtual FAFSA walk- through scheduled for this Thursday has been moved to next Wednesday, October 13th, 5:30-7:00. This presentation is for parents as well. Please join your counselors so we can assist you on your way to completing the FAFSA. Reminder that you and one parent need an FSA ID (electronic signature) before starting the FAFSA. What you will need to complete the FAFSA:
- Your (and your parents’) social security #. If your parent does not have a SS #, they will need to sign the signature page and mail it to Federal Student Aid.
- Your (and one parent) FSA ID
- 2020 Federal tax returns
- 2020 W-2s, other records of money earned
- Current bank statements

FSA ID & FAFSA Info Night Recording from 9-23-2021 Meeting
PSAT Exam for 11th Graders offered on Saturday Oct. 16
Fresno Unified will be offering the PSAT to all interested 11th grade students on Saturday, Oct 16th 2021. If you are interested in taking the PSAT, you must complete the opt-in form at the link or QR code below, so our site can carefully plan for an organized and safe testing environment. Please complete the registration by Oct. 3. A student guide and details about the test will be delivered to you in class the week of Oct 4.
For your information, the PSAT is a practice SAT exam. The University of California is no longer accepting SAT exam scores into consideration when making admissions decisions or awarding scholarships. Similarly, The CSU Chancellor’s Office announced the elimination of the SAT test score requirement for freshman applicants through the 2022-2023 academic year. If you are interested in attending a private or out of state university then you should research their testing requirements to determine if taking the PSAT is right for you. There are several free resources for SAT preparation at www.collegeboard.com.

Virtual Senior Parent Night
College Essay & College Application Support
for students applying to UC, Private & Ivy League Universities
with Myrl Johnson
This course is appropriate for students who are applying to the University of California campuses, private schools, Ivy League, Stanford, Caltech, and the like. It is not generally necessary for junior college and CSUs. Bullard High School has chosen to offer this service to your students at no cost to you.
Topics to be covered:
- Write essays for college entrance
- Assess your personal college choices
- Receive tips for college acceptance
- Guidance through the Common App (private college) process
- Advice on Financial aid & scholarship
- Creation of a college resume
- Discussion about letters of recommendation and their roll in the college admission process
Class session will be on Zoom and will offered 2-3 days a week, Monday mornings, Tuesday afternoons and some Saturday afternoons for short periods. There are no mandatory attendance times but the more you attend the better prepared you will be. Ms. Johnson will be available through text, email and essays and questions are fielded regularly.

9th-11th Grade Pre Registration for the
2021-22 school year
Counselors presented to 9th-11th graders information regarding Pre Registration and elective ranking on Monday, Feb. 22. Elective Ranking needs to be complete no later than Friday, March 5. If you missed the presentations please see the links below to watch.
Course Registration 2021-22
In late March, students will begin receiving emails listing their course requests for the 2021-22 school year. If you would like to request a change please go to the online change request form listed in the email.
Seniors who are requesting Open Periods or Peer Helper periods need to submit a complete application to their school counselor and meet the qualifications. Peer Helpers requires a student to have a cumulative gpa of 3.0 or higher. Students are only allowed one of these options. See forms for more details.
Once you print and sign the form please scan and send to your counselor. No one will be placed in either course without a signed form.
