Q4 Driver’s Ed Sign Ups April 20 at 5pm

FUSD will be offering free online driver’s education courses for Quarter 4. These classes will run from April 2-26.
 
 • Classes meet daily (Monday through Friday) on Teams
 • Credit/No Credit (a letter grade will NOT be assigned)
 • Upon completion, student earns 2.5 elective units 
 • Upon completion, student will be issued a “pink slip” DMV Certificate of Completion of Driver Education 
 • Driver Education enrollment is available to all FUSD high school students (including Freshman) 
 • The cost is free. Teacher will provide all class resources
 
 If your student would like to sign up, the link to enroll will open on April 20 at 5pm.
 Step 1 On April 20 at 5pm, sign into Microsoft Office with your FUSD Student ID

Community College Orientation Directions

If you are a senior you should have completed your Community College Orientation in December but if not, please follow the directions on the attachment and get that done asap. You cannot do your Advising until this is complete.

24-25 CART Application Now Open!

24-25 CART application is open at cart.org. The deadline to apply for the lottery is Feb. 9, CART will be at BHS in 10th Grade History classes on 1/19, and BHS will offer a CART field trip on 2/2. Permission slips will be handing out on 1/19 during the presentations.

Winter Session 2023

Winter Session 2023 Notifications have been sent to students in class.

Winter school will be held December 19th-22, December 27th-29th, January 2nd-5th from 8:30-2:35 pm, with breakfast being served from 8-8:30.
Students report to Bullard High School on Tuesday, December 19th before 8:30am.
Their assigned class will be posted in the quad and will be available on ATLAS starting Tuesday, December 19th.
In person attendance is mandatory. Office Hours are optional.

24-25 CART Application Now Open

CART is a half day program available to 10th and 11th graders in Fresno Unified and Clovis Unified. The CART application for the 2024/2025 school year is now open until February 9th. Students can apply at https://apply.cart.org/
CART teachers will be visiting 10th grade BHS history classes on Friday, January 19th. They will present on CART and their different programs. They will also be handing our permission slips to interested students to visit CART. This field trip will take place on Friday, February 2nd. seats are limited and will be first come, first serve.
CART will host CART family nights for prospective students and parents on Thursday, January 25th, and Wednesday, February 7th, 6:00-700 PM.

FAFSA & FSA ID

The FAFSA (Financial Aid) application has not opened yet for next year. Please do not do your FAFSA yet. The 2024-25 FAFSA will open sometime in December, no date has been set yet. BHS will offer FAFSA support evenings starting in January.
Seniors worked on setting up FSA IDs (how you electronically sign your FAFSA) and a parent also needs to create a FSA ID, if they do not already have one. If you have completed a FAFSA yourself or for other children you would use the same FSA ID as you used previously.

Quarter 2 Driver’s Education Registration Open Oct. 11

CSU, UC and other colleges and universities will begin accepting applications on October 1. Seniors will begin the college application season by attending a Fresno City College application workshop and college info presentation this week. Students will be signing up for CSU & UC application workshops in the next weeks.

Q3 Driver’s Education Online Class Registration opens Weds. Jan. 18

Community College Online Orientation Open Now

All students attending Fresno City College, Clovis Community College, Reedley College, or Madera College need to complete Online Orientations. On December 2, all seniors were invited to attend the Online Orientation workshop. If you did not complete your Online Orientation you need to do so asap. The date of Orientation completion will determine your registration date/time for classes.

If you need assistance, use the directions below, contact your counselor or come in at lunch to the counseling office and someone can assist you.

Work Permits over Winter Break

Students who are in need of a work permit during Winter break can get their permit processed at the College and Career Readiness (CCR) Office, 4120 N. First St. Fresno (93726). The CCR Office will process and issue work permits on the following dates:

December 19- December 22: 9:00 am-3:00 pm
December 27- December 30: 9:00 am-3:00 pm
January 3-January 6 9:00 am-3:00 pm
The office will be closed on Dec. 23, 24, 25, 26 & Jan. 2. 

HBCU College App Information Meeting 12/9

On Friday, December 9, we will be having an informational meeting about Historically Black Colleges/Universities (HBCU) and how to apply to 65 of those schools FOR FREE!!!!! This meeting will be in the library and LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED.

Work Permits over Thanksgiving Break

Students who are in need of a work permit during Thanksgiving break can get their permit processed at the College and Career Readiness (CCR) Office, 4120 N. First St. Fresno (93726). The CCR Office will process and issue work permits on the following dates:

Students must have been offered employment, and have their intent to employ (B1-1) form completely filled out and signed by themself, their employer, and their parent/guardian.

Driver’s Ed Quarter 2 starts Oct. 11

FUSD will offer Online Driver’s Education courses each quarter of the
2022-23 school year and the Quarter 2 class starts on Oct 11.

Classes will be taught 30 minutes a day on Teams and students can choose the time of day they prefer. Students can sign up for FUSD Driver’s Education using the link bit.ly/FUSDdrivers22 and the link is currently open for registration.

Classes fill up, so we encourage your student to sign up as soon as possible. For more details about the Driver’s Education courses please see the attached flyer:
